LIFE OF KAI

Japan: road trip!

Kellian Adams November 10, 2014

I live in Tokyo but this week I took a trip to see my aunt and uncle in Sendai. I had to bring my little brother, but it was okay because we got to take a shinkansen, one of the fastest trains in the world. They can go up to 200 mph, but inside, they're completely quiet. Cool, hunh?

Another pretty cool part about taking the train is the food, especially the ekiban.  An ekiban is a bento box, or lunch box, that has local food from whatever region you're traveling through. We were leaving Tokyo so the ekiban here had sushi. Mmmmm sushi. You can get your ekiban at the train station or right on the train.

My little brother didn't eat the ekiban.... He was only interested in koala cookies. He ate two boxes of them. Ugh....
